BRIAN T. LANDRY - CLASS OF 1970
Brian T. Landry is a member of the class of 1970. He credits St. Ben's, and especially Fr. Hugh Baumann and Fr. Dominic Braud with focusing his moral compass in the right direction and strengthening his lifelong love for Jesus Christ.
He received a bachelor of science degree in marketing from LSU in 1971 and spent almost his entire career in the New Orleans area. On January 8th of this year, he retired after 29 years with Children's Hospital and an additional two years serving as the Senior Vice President of Marketing, Public Affairs & Development with its parent corporation, LCMC Health, which manages five local hospitals, including the new $1.1 billion University Medical Center.Having served as a member of the Saint Joseph Seminary College Board of Trustees, and on the Alumni Board, which included serving as its president, Brian has remained actively involved with the Abbey and Seminary College. He served as Chairman of the Saint Joseph Seminary College Strategic Planning Committee since its inception in 2011, and serves as Chairman of the Department of Institutional Advancement Planning Committee.
Brian serves on the boards of several other nonprofit organizations, including: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater New Orleans; The Miracle Leagues of Greater New Orleans and the North Shore; and Caps for Kids, a national organization that donates hats to children newly diagnosed with cancer, signed by the celebrity of their choosing.
As a new retiree, Brian looks forward to staying involved with the Abbey and Seminary College, and to spending more quality time with his wife, Charlotte, and with the families of their daughter and two sons, which include six grandchildren.
