The Rouquette Library houses more than 50,000 books, 10,000 bound serials, 137 current serial titles, and more than 1,500 audios and videos. In addition, we provide access to electronic indexes and databases. You can explore these various resources using the links provided above.
The library is named in honor of Abbé Adrien Emmanuel Rouquette, who was the first native of Louisiana to become a diocesan priest and a published writer in the language of the Choctaw Indians, whom he evangelized in Saint Tammany Parish. He died in 1887.
