Message from President Rector Gregory Boquet

Saint Joseph Seminary College has been closely monitoring the development and spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety and well-being of our seminary community are of the utmost importance, therefore we are taking steps to determine our course of action should this virus affect our school.

At this time, there are no cases of this virus on our campus or within our campus community. All classes and activities remain as scheduled at this time. I ask everyone in our community to continue practicing preventative health behaviors such as hand washing and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. If you are feeling ill, take your temperature before attending class or any activity. If your temperature is registering high or higher than usual, contact our office immediately for further direction.

We have set up a webpage, www.sjasc.edu/coronavirus that contains some of the preventative health behaviors as recommended by the CDC. We will also use this page to provide continuous updates as it relates to how the virus affects classes and activities at the seminary. Should there be a need for classes to stop in person meetings, we are equipped to provide online learning through Canvas. Our faculty have been preparing their individual courses to provide such instruction if necessary.

Again, we will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with the community as decisions are made.

Father Gregory Boquet

President Rector
