Good evening,

After consulting with Archbishop Aymond, we are monitoring the situation concerning Coronavirus and adapting our response to our local situation.

In addition to the procedures already in place, we are implementing the following:

• We ask that the seminarians do not invite outside guests to the seminary.

• Seminarians are asked to remain on campus at all times; We ask that they monitor their temperature regularly; as an institution we will implement a procedure to ensure that this is done on a regular basis.

• If a seminarian must leave campus for a legitimate reason, he must get permission from the Dean of Students or one of the two Assistant Dean of Students.

• Regular mealtimes are maintained, with SAGE Dining providing pre-packaged meals and disposable utensils.

• We are suspending in-person annual evaluations. If you would like to have a phone conference instead, please call the Rector’s office at 985-867-2241 to set up a time and date.

• Non-resident teaching faculty will be teaching online. • All public events on-campus have been suspended.

• Only essential personnel will be permitted on campus and will be monitored regularly.

I have been in touch with a doctor who specializes in infectious disease and she feels that this is an appropriate response to this situation. I will have a community meeting each day with the student body to keep communications open and am in continual contact with Archbishop Aymond. Should things change, I will notify you immediately. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Fr. Gregory M. Boquet, O.S.B.
